Stephen A. Scillieri - Licensed Funeral Director

Born in Paterson N.J. moving to Hawthorne N.J. in 1987 and then returning back to Paterson in 2003. He was educated at Blessed Sacrament Grammer School Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey N.J. Steve attended Marist College in Poughkeepsie N.Y. and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, N.J. After Graduation Steve attended and graduated from American Academy Mc Allister Institute of Mortuary Science New York City, NY. In 1984 Steve was certified as an "Eye Enucleator" from the New Jersey Eye Bank, Newark, N.J.

Steve is a member of the Passaic County Funeral Directors Association and New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association. Steve has been a Licensed Practioner of Mortuary Science in the State of NJ since 1983.

While living in Hawthorne Steve was a member of the Hawthorne Rotary Club where he was named "Rotarian of the Year" in 1992-1993 and also served as "Fund Raising Chairman" for the club and served as President from 1996-1997.

Steve was appointed to the "Hawthorne Board of Recreation" where he served for 13 years, serving as president for the last two. He is also a member of the Mohawks Athletic Club Hawthorne NJ and the Knights of Colombus Council 240 Paterson N.J. He is also a member of the Paterson Chamber of Commerce, Paterson NJ.

He was the former basketball C.Y.O. coach for Blessed Sacrament School of Paterson. For his efforts he was awarded the Joseph Vander Bosh " Award of Merit" in 1987 from Paterson C.Y.O.

He was also awarded The Joseph Passero Memorial Award from the All Wags Athletic Club in 1988 In 2005 Steve was inducted into the Don Bosco Prep Hall Of Fame. Steve is also a Certified Open Water P.A.D.I Diver.

Also being active High School Sports in Passaic, Morris, and Bergen Counties He has been an Assistant Head Coach at Manchester High School, Haledon NJ, Elmwood Park High School, Elmwood Park NJ, Don Bosco Prep High School, Ramsey New Jersey, Don Bosco Technical High School of Paterson N.J. and Bayley Ellard High School, of Madison, NJ.

Steve has two sons, Stephen J Scillieri and Sean Anthony Scillieri.

James P. McCarthy - Office Manager

He is a graduate of Paterson P.S. 18, Don Bosco Technical High School and Seton Hall University. Employed at the Scillieri Funeral Home for over 18 years, starting as a foot porter and driver. In additon to his job at the funeral home, James coaches 3 varsity sports teams at the Academy of the Holy Angels in Demarest, N.J., Cross Country in the fall, Basketball in the winter, and softball in the Spring, and was named Bergen County Cross Country Coach of the Year in 2006. James is a member of the Don Bosco Tech Alumni Association, Serving as president, The Knights of Colombus Paterson Council 240, the Bergen County Coaches association and the N.J. State Coaches Association as well as the Old Timers Athletic Association of Paterson N.J. He is strictly an office manager. Unlicensed and not qualified to make funeral arrangements, embalm, or conduct funerals.

Angelo G Mania

Angelo G. Mania, CFSP, native of the Sandy Hill section of Paterson, has been associated with the Scillieri family since his early childhood and has been professionally affiliated with the firm science 1997. He earned his New Jersey Funeral Directors license in 1975, after graduating from The American Academy McAllister Institute of Mortuary Science, NYC in 1974. Prior that he attended Bergen Community College and Don Bosco Tech. High School.

Presently he is an independent funeral director and operates a Funeral Director Support Services business, offering a full range of professional services to independently owned Funeral Homes.

Angelo's experience began with the Volk Funeral Homes, with branches in Teaneck, Bogota, Palisades Park and Oradell. After a short time he was selected to manage the Palisades Park location in 1975, at 26, the youngest non-owner manager in the State of NJ.

As a manger he handled all aspects of the business. During that time was appointed by Mayor and Council to the Free Public Library Board of Pal. Pk. He also served as a Founding Member and Trustee of the Palisades Park Homeowners Association, Past Pres. And Secretary of the Palisades Park UNICO and member of the Knights of Columbus. He resigned that position in 1994.

Following his tenure as manager, he took a position for the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Homes of Lyndhurst and Fairfield, where he was evolved in all aspects of the Funeral Home operation. He also assisted in re-designing the layout of the Lyndhurst and Fairfield facility. Following this, he was offered a position for the Mayfair Investment Corp. Wayne, NJ as Vice President of its Funeral Home Acquisition Division, primarily to develop a merger and acquisition formula that would position itself as a major influence in the new large funeral industry merger craze in early 1990's.

In conjunction with this position he also took charge of one of Mayfair's holdings, The Quirk-Lardier Funeral Homes in Englewood, Tenafly and Bergenfield, as Vice Pres, and General Manager.

At present he peruses his own business, AGM Funeral Services, Inc. Angelo is married to Debra (Delle Chiaie) and has two Children, Anthony & Matthew and resides in Pompton Plains.

Angelo also has current memberships in The National Funeral Directors Association, NJ State Funeral Directors Association, Bergen County Funeral Directors Association. The British Institute of Embalmers and the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice; AOPA Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He also is a private Pilot holding a single and multi engine instrument rating.

As an associate of the Scillieri Funeral Home Team, he applies all his experience to assist Steve and his staff in all aspects of his family business.
